For 7th consecutive year, A JEWEL MADE IN GREECE, synonymous with the promotion of contemporary Greek jewelry around the world, has successfully organized the Creator's Meeting at Zappeion Megaron, with the participation of 75 artists and under the auspices of ENTERPRISE GREECE.
During the grand opening, guests had the opportunity to admire, touch and enjoy jewelry of different textures, characters and symbols in a celebration of inspiration, aesthetics and creativity.
The inspirer and creator of A JEWEL MADE IN GREECE, artist Mary Samolis in a short speech referred to her emotion, pride and satisfaction in seeing her vision come true for the recognition of the Greek imprint on the world of jewelry.
Surprises and innovations marked the 7th event. The exhibition's guests this year were delighted to get to know and embrace the American visuals and experiences as AJMIG hosted New York City Jewelry Week for the first time in Greecek, At the same time in the framework of the meeting was held the educational round table "A JEWEL & THE LAW" on the legal issues that often concern the creators and entrepreneurs who are or are going to be active in jewelry.
Βefore the end of the fascinating and glamorous four-day event in Zappeion, the organizer Mary Samolis, the AJMIG accredited Geologist and Researcher, George Spyromelios, the artist Della Rounick, Art Historian Iris Kritikou and two representatives of NYC JEWELRY WEEK Jery B. and Bella Neyman awarded the AJMIG annual institutional awards after a vote of the public, the creators and the committee, rewarding high aesthetics and exceptional technique.
Α celebration of creative expression, productive dialogue, high aesthetics and collaborative entrepreneurship, delivered for another year a loud message of optimism and Greek extroversion emphasizing that "Made in Greece" is a title of honor for any contemporary jewelry maker.
